Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information NotationAI collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our mobile apps, web application and website at notationai.app. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information you provide

  • Account information — such as your email address and basic profile, if you create an account.
  • Your content — the recordings, melodies, scores and project data you create, upload or import.
  • Support communications — messages you send us, for example by email.
  • Payment details — handled by our payment processor; we do not store your full card number (see Section 4).

2. Information collected automatically

  • Device and app information (such as app version, device type and operating system).
  • Approximate location derived from your IP address (for security and regional settings).
  • Usage and diagnostic data, such as feature usage and error logs, to keep the Service reliable.
  • Language and timezone, so we can present the app appropriately.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • provide the Service — transcribe recordings, render scores, run AI features and sync collaboration;
  • operate your account, process subscriptions and provide support;
  • secure the Service, prevent abuse and debug problems;
  • improve features and performance;
  • comply with legal obligations.

AI processing of your content (for example, transcribing a hum into notation) is performed to deliver the feature you requested.

4. Processors and third parties we rely on

We use a small set of service providers to run NotationAI. They process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery and security for our website and web application.
  • Creem — our merchant of record for web payments and subscriptions. Creem handles your payment details; we receive transaction and subscription status, not your full card number.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play — process purchases made through their stores under their own terms and privacy policies.
  • AI and infrastructure providers — used to run features such as transcription, arranging and collaboration. Content sent to these providers is used to deliver the requested feature.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Sharing with collaborators

When you collaborate using a share link, the people you invite can see and edit the shared score and may see basic presence information (such as a name or color identifying you in the session). Only share links with people you trust.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your account and associated content — see Section 9.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

NotationAI is not directed to children under the age required by your local law to consent to data processing, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can remove it.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, or to delete your account and content, email us at support@notationai.app. We will respond as required by applicable law.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy from time to time; we will update the “Last updated” date above when we do. For any privacy question or request, contact support@notationai.app.
